Alpine is a major player in mountain rescue work around the Banff/Canmore, Alberta area and in other parts of Alberta and British Columbia. Alpine is called upon by various governmental agencies to conduct mountain rescues primarily due to Alpine’s mountain flying expertise, skilled pilots and safety record. Alpine prefers to utilize the Bell 407 for mountain rescue missions as it is fast, has the ability to fly for a long duration of time with maximum fuel and has the ability to adapt to rapidly changing mountain conditions.
