Cash, American dollars, travelers' cheques, Debit MasterCard, Visa and American Express may make payment. Personal cheques are, however, not accepted.
Completing our credit application and forwarding to our Kelowna head office can establish credit with Alpine Helicopters.
Reservations
We recommend that you reserve your seats a minimum of 3 - 7 days in advance of your flight, earlier during our busy summer season. A credit card will be required to confirm your reservation however payment is not required until time of flight. Please refer to our cancellation policy.
Is a deposit required when we book a tour? No, but we do require a credit card number to hold the reservation for the individual travelers and pre-approved credit from tour companies. Please note that a credit card number is still required for those guests wishing to use a Gift Certificate. The customer will make payment on their arrival 20 minutes prior to their flight departure time. No charges will be processed on the credit card with out the customers' consent, unless any of the Cancellation Policy guidelines have been broken.
Many tour managers and their companies like to block space in advance for their guests. Alpine would like to help with these bookings with the following guidelines:
- Advance block bookings will only be guaranteed at a 16 seat maximum
- Confirm and/or cancel your blocking space 48 hours in advance
- Passengers number to be confirmed 24 hours out from scheduled flight time. Your booking will be removed if no call is received 24 hours prior to the groups' flight
- The cancellation policy is in effect
- We recommend booking space at least 10 days in advance
Minimum Number of Passengers
A minimum of 2 passengers is required for our Sight Seeing Tours and Heli-Hikes. If you are travelling alone, we can add you to an existing reservation or make a tentative booking to find a match. In the summer months, there is generally not a problem with finding a match to meet the minimum number.
Cancellation
In the unfortunate circumstance that you are not able to travel, a notice of cancellation is required 3 hours prior to the scheduled flight time. After that time, a 50% non-refundable charge will be applied to the credit card number used to hold your reservation.
We will not process any payment to your credit card unless the passenger cancels 3 hours or less, prior to there scheduled flight time. We recommend that all customers confirm 24 hours in advance and it is wise to call before traveling a far distance in case the weather has changed for the worse.
Important Note: Alpine reserves the right to cancel at any time before or during a flight for weather, maintenance and/or emergency reasons.
Shuttle Service
Transportation can be arranged for guests from their hotel to our base in Canmore. Please book the shuttle at the time you book your flight. Alpine operates two shuttle vans and the maximum number of guests that can be shuttled at one time is 30 people.
Check in Time
Please arrive 20 minutes prior to your scheduled flight time. This will ensure that we have adequate time for payment and ticket processing, safety briefing and proper group placement for seating. Late arrivals may have to be re-scheduled for another time or day. If you will be late, please give us a call and we will accommodate you as best as we can; however we cannot interfere with the schedule of others. Please refer to our cancellation policy.
Baggage Policy
Please be advised that all guests' personal items are left at their own risk. Alpine Helicopters Ltd., their employees and owners, are not responsible for loss or damages to these items, no matter what the cost. Guests should leave valuables on the coach, in their car, with their Tour Manager or at their hotel.

Winter Office Hours
Thanksgiving to April 30 - 8:00 am until 5:00 PM
Please note that flight departures in summer start at 8:30 am and the last flights of the day land at 5:00 PM. During the winter months our tours are limited to day light hours, temperatures and flight start times may differ. Guests may need to be flexible with scheduling flights in the winter months.
