Here are a few tips to make your reservation experience a smooth and easy one.

Reservations for Independent Travelers
We recommend that you reserve your seats a minimum of 3 days in advance of your flight. A credit card will be required to confirm your reservation however payment is not required until check in.
A minimum of 2 passengers is required for all Sight Seeing Tours and Heli-Hikes. If you are traveling alone, we can match you with an existing reservation. There is generally not a problem with finding a match to meet the minimum number requirement.
Please note that a credit card number is also required for those guests wishing to redeem a Gift Certificate. No charges will be processed on the credit card prior to check-in, unless the Cancellation Policy guidelines have been breached (see below).
Passenger numbers should be confirmed 24 hours in advance. After that time we cannot guarantee that we can accommodate more than the original number requested.
Group Reservations
Tour companies often prefer to block space well in advance of arrival. Please take note of the following guidelines:
- Standard block bookings guaranteed a 16 seat maximum per time slot.
- You are expected to confirm and/or cancel any blocked space 48 hours in advance.
- Passenger numbers are to be confirmed 24 hours from scheduled flight time. Your booking will be released if no confirmation is received.
- We recommend booking blocked space at least 7 days in advance.
Check in Time
Please arrive 20 minutes prior to your scheduled flight time. This will ensure adequate time for payment, ticket processing, safety briefing and seat assignment. Any late arrivals may have to be re-scheduled for another time or day. If you are running late please give us a call and we will accommodate you as best as we can without interfering with other guests schedules.
Method of Payment
We accept Canadian and American currency, travelers' cheques, Debit, MasterCard, Visa and Amex. If you wish to establish charging privileges please contact our office to obtain a credit application.
Cancellation Policy
In the unfortunate circumstance that you are not able to travel, a notice of cancellation is required 3 hours prior to the scheduled flight time. After that time, a 50% non-refundable charge will be applied to the credit card number used to hold your reservation.
There is no penalty for cancellations made more than 3 hours prior to flight time. We highly recommend calling our office (403-678-4802) first thing in the morning to check the weather conditions. We do not fly if it is too windy, too cloudy or less than -15c.
Important Note: Alpine reserves the right to cancel at any time before or during a flight for weather or safety reasons.
Shuttle Service
Ground transportation to the heliport can be arranged for guests from any hotel or major attraction in Banff or Canmore. Please book the shuttle at the time you book your flight. This is a complimentary service so seats are limited. Booking in advance is highly recommended.
Baggage Policy
Please be advised that all guests' personal items are left at their own risk. Alpine Helicopters Ltd., their employees and owners, are not responsible for loss or damages to these items, no matter what the cost. Guests should leave valuables on the coach, in their car, with their Tour Manager or at their hotel.

Winter Office Hours
Thanksgiving to May 14 - 8:00 am until 5:00 PM
Please note that flight departures in summer start at 8:20 am and the last flights of the day land at 5:00 PM. During the winter months our tours are limited to daylight hours, temperatures and flight times may vary.
